During this hands-on class, we'll break down pickling and fermenting techniques step-by-step and practice the fundamentals as well as how to riff on recipes and make your own signature flavors in home kitchens.

Learn the different types of pickling and fermentation processes and how to select the best methods for different types of ingredients. 

During class, you'll design your own custom pickled + fermented flavors and take home what you make. Discover infused brines, spices, herbs, even *smoked* pickling techniques and more for the seasonal and locally-sourced fruits and vegetables we'll be working with during class.

Your ticket also includes samples galore: taste pickle flights and uniquely delicious examples of fermented vs. pickled products. Enjoy samples of Smoking Goose's charcuterie and treats from numerous local food artisans, too, as we taste and learn professional's tips for selecting the perfect pairings. Drinks are also included.

In addition to the pickles you make during class, participants also take home a Smoking Goose custom branded pickling jar, a packet of Smoking Goose's house-blend pickling spice, and recipe cards.

During class, we'll also go behind-the-scenes and tour Smoking Goose's USDA-inspected facility - see how Smoking Goose uses fermentation techniques!

This is an in-person event at Public Smokehouse inside Smoking Goose at 411 Dorman St Indy 46202 and $99 per person.
